KVAC at Kerry Athletics Juvenile & U/20 County Track & Field Championships 2022.

The Kerry Athletics U/9 to U/20 Kerry Track & Field Championships took place on May 7th & May 8th. The weather was perfect for the 104 Killarney Valley AC athletes who competed in sprints , hurdles , mid distance , javelin, shot put, long jump , high jump , triple jump , discus and relays.

This was our highest number of athletes ever participating in a championships with lots of first timers.

Our athletes won a total of 70 Medals , 44 of these from our brilliant u/9 to u/16s , while our powerful U/20 squad won 26 medals which was over 35% of the medals available in that cohort for the entire championships.
More Important than the medals are all the personal best performances from all of our crew no matter where they finish in their event. Athletics is you versus you and finding your best self and our KVAC team certainly found their own “Strong”.

Killarney Valley AC on the Rise continues at a pace. We are very proud of all the athletes & parents for prioritising this important competition, many families juggling first communions & other activities to put Athletics and the green and purple of KVAC at the top of the weekends list. Big thanks to all the coaches and officials from the county board , and the An Riocht facility for a great venue.
